The Officers and Directors of The International Seniors Amateur Golf Society are extremely pleased to announce that we will be conducting the 2025 Mid-Winter Championship at Hotel New Otani Makuhari/Taiheiyo Club Golf Courses between May 17-24, 2025!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
As this will take place in a major metropolitan area with golf at all private clubs, there are some differences to an event at a golf resort that we feel are important to note in advance.
Chiba is located not far from Tokyo and 30 minutes from both Haneda and Narita airports. Courses in Japan are generally only available for outings one day per week at most and as such, we will use four different courses. Important golf information is as follows:
o Taiheiyo Club Ichihara Course (50 minutes from the hotel)
No caddies are available, but buggies are available for everyone. These are typical for Japan with all four players in one buggy that remains on a track.
o Taiheiyo Club Narita Course (35 minutes from the hotel)
Caddies and buggies are available for everyone, again typical for Japan with all four players in one buggy that remains on a track and also with a caddie in each group.
o Taiheiyo Club Yachiyo Course (40 minutes from the hotel)
While no carts are available, this is designed as an easy walking course with caddies for all players. One caddie will manage all four sets of clubs using a special electric trolly unique to Japan.
o Kinnodai County Club (65 minutes from the hotel)
Caddies and buggies are available for everyone, again typical for Japan with all four players in one buggy that remains on a track and also with a caddie in each group.
As with our 2013 event in Hong Kong which was a great success, golf will be tournament rounds only with no practice rounds available due to weekend visitor restrictions.
We are also very pleased to partner with our friends from Taiheiyo Club to offer an exciting pre-event sightseeing trip featuring Tokyo and a post-event sightseeing trip in Kyoto. Please find below links to comprehensive details on each and please contact Kevin Patterson in the ISAGS Office at kevin@isags.org if you have any questions or would like to reserve a place. Pricing will be finalized based on the number of attendees.
We have an incredible adventure scheduled and we hope that you plan to join us there!
